LEAP 2025 closed with reflection, celebration, and a charge to keep learning in action. Twelve graduates completed the program, each carrying lessons on organizing, co-ops, and collective liberation back into their communities.

Twelve graduates complete the Leadership Education for Action & Power program — ready to put lessons into motion.
On October 25, we celebrated the close of LEAP 2025 with reflection, joy, and collective pride. Over seven sessions, participants journeyed through topics like liberalism, patriarchy, co-ops, sustainability, and the survival practices that have sustained Black and Brown communities for generations. The final session focused on globalization and capitalism — tying together every theme explored throughout the cycle.
Each of the twelve graduates brought a distinct voice, lens, and lived truth that made this cohort strong. They showed up month after month, not just to listen but to apply what they learned in their tenant associations, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Conversations about colorism, ageism, and structural discrimination created space for deep honesty and new strategies for collective liberation. We’re beyond proud of every member who completed this cycle and grateful for the facilitators, especially Dr. Rosemary Ndubuizu, who guided the group with clarity and care.
As these graduates step into their next phase on the ONE DC membership pathway, we can’t wait to see them leading in committees, circles, and campaigns that shape DC’s future. Congratulations Graduates — the struggle continues, and so does your impact.
