Tim is the Henry A. Wallace Fellowship Program Director at Institute for Policy Studies, where he supports the next generation of progressive leaders as they develop skills at the intersection of policy research, advocacy, and grassroots activism. Tim holds a PhD in American Studies from the University of Maryland. He is currently working on a book project that examines grassroots organizing for political autonomy and equitable development in Washington, DC in the Black Power era.
Previously he was the Chief Administrator for Good Jobs First, an economic development policy resource center. He also served as the executive director of The Potter's House, a cafe, bookstore, and community space in the Adams Morgan neighborhood, from 2013-2017. He has been a member of ONE DC since 2012.
