Serena Jones is a Homes for All DC Community Organizer, working to build the capacity of existing DC-based tenant organizations and assist in the establishment of new ones. A DC native, she saw the dramatic transformation of the city when she returned from university where she studied Sociology and Public Policy, and where her longtime passion for justice grew as a result of learning about patterns of oppression more deeply. Seeing and experiencing these patterns for the incredible injustice that they are, she feels a deep responsibility to contribute to their dismantling. She began work in the food justice field at an Urban Community Farm, and began organizing with ONEDC in 2023. Her other passions include many forms of creativity and reading.
