Join the Organizing Committee every Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM at our Shaw Office (614 S Street NW/Near Shaw-Howard Metro)! Come together with other ONE DC members to fight for our rights to income and housing.
WHAT WE DO
The Organizing Committee is divided into three teams:
The Right to Housing Committee will be identifying campaigns and community-controlled alternatives for the preservation and creation of family-sized units with longtime affordability at 0-30% Area Median Income, such as protecting rent control and housing alternatives to vouchers.
The Right to Income team will be identifying campaigns and community-controlled alternatives to get rid of tax breaks to corporations and developers in order to funnel those resources toward worker cooperatives.
The Outreach team will be creating outreach campaigns dedicated to prioritizing the renter class, long-time DC residents, Black people, the low-income and working class, and immigrant communities.
