ONE DC's Learning Circle is a space for ONE DC members to come together to learn about the legacy of of progressive action that we are carrying forward. By engaging with text, media, and storytelling, we learn from one another and our predecessors about guiding principles and ideals of racial equity, cooperative economics, and community building.
The Learning Circle is currently reading "Left of Karl Marx: The Political Life of Black Communist Claudia Jones." For our next meeting we'll be reading the Preface, Chronology, Introduction, and first chapter of the book.
I look forward to our next meeting on Wednesday, October 2nd from 6-8pm at the BWWC. There are remote options to join if folks need that, just let us know. We meet the first Wednesday of every month at the BWWC (2500 Martin Luther King Ave, SE).
We're also looking for volunteers to lead the wellness portion of our session. If you're interested in doing a 5-minute wellness opening feel free to let Gabrielle know (firstname.lastname@example.org).
