HFA Saturday Circle: Engaging Members Without Harm

Many of us are feeling the weight of low member turnout, burnout, and being asked to “carry” a building or an association alone. This month’s HFA Saturday Circle is a space to slow down and re-ground.

We will talk about the difference between engaging members in ways that build power — versus ways that unintentionally reproduce harm, urgency, pressure, or trauma.

This space is for Tenant Association members + leaders who want to intentionally shift how we build relationships, how we recruit, how we develop leaders, and how we grow collective power in a way that is nourishing, not extractive.

We will ground in:

  • care-centered engagement

  • collective accountability

  • shared responsibility

  • dignity in how we invite each other into the work

We also ask — if possible — that you invite one neighbor who you believe should be at this table with you.
We are practicing collective power… together. No more carrying this alone. Bring someone who you believe is ready to grow with their community.

Brunch at 10:30. Session 11am–1pm.
Childcare + transportation assistance available.

We are building a movement that doesn’t just win — we are building a movement that doesn’t harm us along the way.
