Joel is the ONE DC Homes For All organizer. Joel was born and raised in the DMV, but recently moved back to the area from Miami, Florida, where he worked as a history teacher and community organizer. He is also deeply involved in political organizing with various organizations that mobilize around local, national, and international issues. With his background in education and organizing, Joel is eagerly joining ONE DC in their mission to help create a more just and equitable society for the Black and working-class residents of the city. Joel is working hand-in-hand with tenants throughout the city to make this idea a reality. The District belongs to the people, and Joel is excited to help Washingtonians fight for what is rightfully theirs.
