Claire Cook is the Administrative Organizer and has been working with ONE DC since 2013. She first joined ONE DC working alongside members on the Right to Income campaign to conduct outreach for the recruitment of over 3,000 unemployed and underemployed DC residents to apply for the Washington Marriott Marquis Jobs Training Program. Throughout the course of this training program, she supported many DC residents as they navigated the application, interview, and training process. Currently, Claire coordinates the Administrative & Organizational Management, recruiting long-time, low-income DC residents of color to carry out the administrative work of the organization, such as communications, website, database, and socail media. Claire manages a database for ONE DC using Nation Builder, which includes over 13,000 members, donors, volunteers, allies, potential donors, and potential contacts. She also continues to expand ONE DC's online voice through its website, social media, newsletter, and email communications. Claire holds a MA in Sociology from The George Washington University, where she wrote her thesis on new-build gentrification and exclusionary, luxury development in the NoMa neighborhood of Washington, DC.
