On March 8, 2014, ONE DC will be holding a mayoral forum to let DC's next mayor, whoever they may be, know what we demand for a fair and equitable DC.

DC residents will moderate the forum and candidates will respond to questions from the People's Platform, which has been crafted from the demands of YOU, the residents!
Some of these principles include:
Our Right to Housing - Longtime residents are increasingly being displaced from DC by rising rents, luxury developments, and the demolition of public housing.
We will support candidates who stand for:
- Deeper Affordability in All New Developments
- Development of Limited Equity Housing Cooperatives
- The Protection and Preservation of Public Housing
Our Right to Income - Washington’s economic successes are not shared with our unemployed and low wage workers, who are disproportionately people of color.
We will support candidates who stand for:
- A Minimum Wage that is Truly a Living Wage
- First Source Reform with Clawback Provisions
- Legislation to Prevent Firing for Unjust Reasons
