The National People’s Action (NPA) network arrived in the Washington, DC metro-area on March 21st for its 38th annual convention. The organizers in attendance were charged with identifying effective ways to address the challenges facing this country’s communities. ONE DC members joined over 500 comrades from around the country at the proceedings and were an integral part of the movement building activity. As you may know, a movement can connect, enrich and amplify the work of people in geopolitically unique situations. If executed effectively, it builds on its human diversity, shared principles and viable purpose. Each element was evident at NPA 2009.
